1. Loktak lake, Manipur

Why go to this place ?

This lake of Manipur is a treat for your eyes. Loktak lake is the only floating(due to the phumdis) lake in the world. It is situated in northeast of manipur state. This lake serves as a source of water for irrigation, water supply and hydro power generation. This lake was thought to be a volcano first. The word loktak is made by two words 'Lok' means stream and 'tak' means the end. 

When to go ?

You can visit this place anywhere between February and March.


2. Valley of Flowers, Uttarakhand

Why go to this place ?

Why you want to go to this place, you have just came back from Loktak lake and you are planning to go valley of flowers ? just kidding!

Located close to Nanda devi national park  valley of flowes is a perfect and unforgettable experience. This valley was discovered by three british mountaineers and they named it as "the valley of flowers". There are over 600 species of flowers in this valleys, including marigold, daisies, anemones, orhcids, poppies and many more beautiful flowers.

When to go ?

Visit between July to August.


3. Chail, Himachal Pradesh

Why go to this place ?

This hill station of himachal pradesh is well known for it's architecture and immense nature beauty. There are plenty of camping sites here. Chail is very close to Shimla(27 miles) , you can visit chail sanctuary, sadhupul(a village between chail and solan), cricket ground(on the altitude of 2,444 metres from ground), lover's point, stone kumbad and many more beautiful sites.

When to go ?

October to march is the best time to visit chail.


4. Coorg, Karnataka

Why go to this place ?

Most famous for it's coffee plantation, rich flora and fauna, streams. Coorg(officialy known as kodagu) is a famous hill station of karnataka. The most famous place which you can visit in coorg are the Abbey falls, talakaveri, Raja's seat, Madikeri fort, coffee plantations in coorg and you can also opt for river rafting in coorg.

When to go ?

March and june is the time i will suggest.


5. Dudhsagar Falls, Goa 

Why go to this place ?

Located on the Mandavi river, Dudhsagar falls(sea of milk)  is a must visit place because of  beautiful waterfall. Dudhsagar falls is one of india's tallest waterfall. Dudhsagar is one of the most beautiful place of goa other than the beaches.

When to go ?

In Monsoon July to October


6. Munnar, Kerala

Why go this place ?

Famous for it's tea plantation Munnar is a town in the state of kerala. Munnar is also known as " Kashmir of south india". Places you can visit in munnar like the munnar top station, pothamedu viewpoint, Eraviikalum national park, tea estates, anamudi peak and echo point.

When to go ?

You can visit this place between december to february.


7. Pitthogarh, Uttarakhand


Why go to this place ?

Pitthogarh is a city in pitthogarh district and in the state of Uttarakhand. Pitthoragarh is also known as 'little kashmir'. Most famous for it's beautiful landscape. Pittoragarh is located at the height of 1,645 m. You can go for trekking, village tour, paragliding and you can also visit temples of this place.

When to go ?

March to June is the best time to take a tour of this place.


8. Kaas Plateau, Maharashtra

Why go to this place ?

One more beautiful place known for it's scenic beauty and flora. Kaas plateau is a plateau situated in Satara district of maharashtra. Kaas have more than 850 species of flowers including Indica, karvy, orchids, shrubs etc. Also known as Kaas pathar, kaas plateau is made from volcanic rocks. You can also visit bhambavli flower plateau which is just 3 km away from kaas plateau.

When to go ?

September to October make your visit to this place.


9. Araku, Andhra pradesh


Why go to this place ?

Famous for it's hill station and coffee plantations. Araku is a city in the state of Andhra pradesh. You can visit Borra caves, Chaparai waterfalls, katiki waterfalls, coffee Museum and tribal museum. If you are a true nature lover you just can't miss this place. 

When to go ?

December to February is your time.


10. Nubra Valley, Ladakh


Why go to this place ?

Located in the northern east part of Jammu and Kashmir and it known for it's beautiful landscape and camels. Also known as "Orchard of Ladakh". Nubra valley is surrounded by snow. Khardung la here is the highest motorable pass in world. Nubra valley is a place of buddhist monasteries and buddhist learning. You can go in the cold desert of Hundur and diskit.

When to go ?

Go between June to August, thank me later.


11. Gurudongmar lake, Sikkim

Why go to this place ?

Highest lake of the world Gurudongmar lake is a lake in Sikkim. On the elevation of 5,430 m(According to govt. of sikkim). This place is also considered as place of buddhists. China border is just 5 kilometres away from this lake. This lake freeze between November and May(partially).

When to go ?

Between March and june you can visit this lake.


12. Stok Kangri 


When to go to this place ?

This place is all snow and little dangerous and not a cup of tea for everyone. If you are someone who is fit and can climb a mountain. You can consider this place, stok kangri the highest mountains in the ladakh region. Stok Kangri is on the altitude of 6,153 m. To reach stok kangri you can start your journey from leh. 

When to go ?

May to October is the time for trekking in this place.

Note: I have already mentioned above that if you don't have any prior experience of trekking don't consider this place(Not for everyone)
