The Saigaon river is contaminated with garbage and wastewater. The level of Ammonia in Sai gaon river is 3 times more than the permission given.
9. Beirut, Lebanon
The capital of Lebanon beirut is one of the most polluted city in the world. The air pollution level of beirut is very high. On an average of 4 deaths takes place per 10,000 people(one of the highest in the world). The causes of air pollution in beirut is mineral and chemical industry and vehical emissions one of more cause of pollution is because of the poor water supply.
8. Dhaka, Bangladesh
Till now we have seen that bigger cities, are more prone to pollution because of more people and more waste. The capital of Bangladesh is also in the list because of the air quality index between 201 and 300(unhealthy). The Reason of such high index is the pollution caused by the factories, smoke from vehicles and dust from construction projects.

One of the most polluted capitals of the world. Ulan bator is the capital of Mongolia. The major reason for such ranking is improper ventilation, burning of biomass and burning of coal. In Ulan bator coal is banned to fix the problem of pollution. The Air quality index reports proves that Ulan bator is a very unhealthy to live.
6. Ghaziabad, India
Part of NCR, the ghaziabad city is situated in the state of Uttar pradesh. The main cause of pollution in ghaziabad is the industries located in the city, causes pollution other than that vehicle are also a reason for pollution( Ghaziabad ranks above delhi in terms of pollution. ?Road dust is one of the biggest contributors to the pollution in the city. According to GMC, the city's road produces about 50 tons of dust everyday.
5. Accra, Ghana
You see, the list is all made of capitals of the countries. Accra is capital of Ghana(located on Atlantic coast). The pollution level is five times the WHO's guidelines average. The land and water pollution rate is quite high. The Ghana's government has been constantly working on decreasing noise pollution in the country. But, no steps have been taken towards pollution control.

One more time a capital city, Kathmandu's is capital of Nepal(city situated in the valley of Himalayan mountains). The cause is rapid Urbanisation and industrial waste. The Kathmandu city of Nepal ranked in our list. The NCD(Non communicable diseases) like heart diseases and lung diseases are common due to pollution.
3. Kabul, Afghanistan
Famous for it's palaces and historical gardens. Around 3,000 people die in the city every year due to air pollution-related diseases. Respiratory diseases are common in the kabul. Main reason for air pollution is poor quality fuel, foundries, old cars and burning trash. Other than poor quality kabul also face water related problems like drinking water pollution.
