5 Most Weirdest Plants that really exists

Plants are the very source of our existence(i hope you get it). We can't think of life without plants(i hope you get this one too). Plants were some of the organisms which were very tough to understand like how they survive, how they eat and so on. But by giving them enough time botanists have figure out almost everything. But there exist some of the plants that are not that easy to understand or you can say, they are the most weird plants out there.

So, here we are with the list of five most weirdest plants you don't know that exists.

1. Galloping Moss

Also known as ' plant that move'. Many plants move like the Venus Flytraps snaps shut on their prey, sensitive plants fold up their leaves, venus tendrils swivel to find something to hold on to. But as a representative of plants that move. I've chosen a plant that actually travels from one place to another. A cute, spiky little green moss, named 'grimmia ovalis', actuallly slides across the surface of lichen encrusted rocks in the Arctic.

The movement is very slow and scientists think it may be propelled by the freeze-thaw cycle on the rocks, it looks like a moss race track, with clumps of moss race track, with clumps of moss trailing streaks of cleared rock behind them. 

2. Tongue Orchid 

This plant is also known as 'the plant that have sex with insects'. Everyone love orchids, don't you ?. The flowers of the tongue orchids have a beautiful form and their color is what make them more charming. But no matter how much you or i love orchids, we don't love orchids the way dupe wasps do. In particular, the wasps love a species of orchid called the Australian tongue orchid, scientific genus cryptostylis. 

The tongue orchid attracts the male wasps with their fragrance and surfacing, which is designed to copy a female wasp. There are evidence have been found wasp sperm on this plant.

3. Welwithschia

They are weird kind of plant, they are Welwitschia plant. This plants grow only two leaves from a single stem for their entire lives, which unbelievably last about 500 years ! and between the mean time, the two leaves of the welwitschia keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Welwitschia is low to the ground the stem bases get about two feet high or so and the big, strappy leaves keep growing longer and longert, like wide green ribbons flowing away from the central stem.

The leaves of the welwitschia gets pull apart and break over time and they take different shape and buckle in some interesting position along the stem.

4. Resurrection plant

The resurrection plant literally recovers from the 'ghostly or from the dead'. But it's pretty amazing just the same. The resurrection plant, are called as selaginella leidophylla by the the scientists, is belongs to the northern and southern america. When it rains, the plants grows rapidly, producing a rosette of green branches when it's not raining, the plant starts to curl up and its outer branches. If you found this plant , you would definitely think it was dead and frizzled by the sun.

5. Stone plants

Stone plants, like really ? Yes there exist a species of plants named as stone plants. Plant have many strategies to avoid predation, like thorns, spines and nasty secretions. One plant that's a master of the subtle defense is the stone plant, genus lithops(litho- means stone). Stone plants are rock colored-dull greys and tans and have two thick succulent leaves that are broad and flat at the top.

This plant live in the desert, literally buried up to their necks- okay, the top of their leaves in the desert soil. Only the flattened tops of the rocks are visible on the soil where they look pretty much like rocks. Any wandering animals that might be looking for juicy plants in order to get some water will just walk on by.
