Let's first discuss about the physical geography of mongolia is famous as the "Land of the eternal blue sky" as the weather is mostly sunny around 250 out of 365 days. Mongolia is a country locked from all the sides and is the 18th largest country.
The gobi desert covers the 30% of mongolia's land and the eastern winds are the reason for the occurence of sandstorm in mongolia. The mongolia is heavily dependent on the valley of lakes for water.
The mongolia is home to four major mountain ranges. The altai mountains(running from western to southern part of the country), parts, the khangai mountains(northwest to southeast), khentii mountains(northeast to southwest) and the khovsgol mountains(northeast to southwest).
Mongolia is mostly a dry country and doesn't get more than 15 cm per year. Mongolia is a empty country meaning most of the land of mongolia is abandoned and used for animal grazing activities.
Herding and mining is the main occupation of the mongolian people. Around 45% of population lives in the capital city of mongolia which is ulan bator and also the most polluted city of the country. The 95% of the people living in the mongolia are mongolians and the other 5% belongs from the russia and kazakhstan.
One more interesting fact, mongolian are the genetic source for billions of asians, because of the mongolian invasion to every other asian country. Talking about the food, mongolians are fond of dairy products and meat. They even kill horses for meat and sheeps are killed peacefully by disconnecting there hearts(yes, they also eat them).
